PennDOT District 2-0 has selected Stahl Sheaffer Engineering to lead the design of 3 bridge replacements in Clearfield County. Stahl Sheaffer will be assisted on the contract by Larson Design Group, The EADs Group, and American Engineers Group.
Stahl Sheaffer Engineering was the inspector for the recent installation of 24 streetlights in Selinsgrove, PA. The third phase of this TAP project placed the antique-style lamps north on Market Street between West Snyder and Spruce Streets and along East Pine Street from Market Street to the bridge crossing into the Isle of Que. 48 lights were added in earlier phases of the project, which began in 2005.

Construction will begin this summer for the Young Scholars Charter School expansion, which includes an additional 20 parking spaces and an 8,000-square-foot second-floor wing. LeFevre Wilk Architects and Stahl Sheaffer Engineering are involved in the expansion process as they have been since 2007.

Stahl Sheaffer’s Soils and Materials Lab in Washington, PA is now an AASHTO Accredited Testing and Inspection Agency. AASHTO is the national Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. On June 29th, 2016 Stahl Sheaffer received certification from AAP, AASHTO Accreditation Program formally recognizing the competence of the company to perform specific tests on construction materials to meet specific national and international standards. The 5,000 sf full service lab specializes in Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) and Cold-in-Place Recycled (CIR) asphalt designs to support roadway construction. The AASHTO accreditation will enable Stahl Sheaffer to meet client requirements for testing standards, and will continue to boost new customer’s confidence in the services provided by Stahl Sheaffer.

The LSV’s mission is: To provide education & programming to strengthen the skill sets for emerging & established leaders in the Susquehanna Valley Region. The program brings together men and women from a diverse range of economic, geographic, and educational backgrounds who possess an interest in assuming effective leadership roles. The Board of Supervisors approved a Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania Charter School land development plan to add new classrooms on a new second level of the school building as well as smooth the flow of on-site traffic.

Andrew M. Gill, E.I.T. has successfully completed the EIFS Inspector, Moisture Analyst and Quality Control Online Certification Training Program through the Exterior Design Institute. Mr. Gill has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and is also Aerial Work Platform Certified.
PennDOT District 2-0 - Stahl Sheaffer Engineering will be performing construction inspection and documentation services on the $13 million dollar Waddle Road Design-Build project in Centre County. VE Engineering is assisting Stahl Sheaffer with this contract.
City of Washington, PA - The City of Washington has selected Stahl Sheaffer Engineering to perform construction inspection and documentation services on the Business District Revitalization Phase III Project on South Main Street in the City of Washington in Washington County, PA. This $1.3 million street scape is a locally sponsored PennDOT project involving roadway reconstruction, sidewalk reconstruction, drainage upgrades, traffic signal installation, lighting, and landscaping.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has retained Stahl Sheaffer Engineering to perform a detailed inspection of both tubes of the Blue Mountain and Kittatinny Tunnels, Milepost 197.50, Franklin County. Inspection services include structural integrity, drainage, electrical, mechanical, lighting, and the portal buildings. Stahl Sheaffer has included Buchart Horn and Monaloh Basin Engineers on the team to carry out these inspections through 2016.
